XML representations of pathway data: a comparison
نویسنده
چکیده
Standardisation and integration of pathway data is currently an interesting topic within bioinformatics with several consortia, e.g. SBML, PSI and BioPAX. These groups use or consider XML for representation of their standards. Furthermore, XML is used by many of the existing databases containing pathway information for export and exchange of data. In this paper we compare some of the XML representations used by the standardisation committees and existing databases. The contribution of the paper is the comparison and evaluation of the representations together with a discussion on implications for information discovery and integration.

Apply Uncertainty in Document-Oriented Database (MongoDB) Using F-XML
As moving to big data world where data is increasing in unstructured way with high velocity, there is a need of data-store to store this bundle amount of data. Traditionally, relational databases are used which are now not compatible to handle this large amount of data, so it is needed to move on to non-relational data-stores. In the current study, we have proposed an extension of the Mongo...

Due to the increasing number of documents, XML, effectively organize these documents in order to retrieve useful information from them is essential. A possible solution is performed on the clustering of XML documents in order to discover knowledge. Clustering XML documents is a key issue of how to measure the similarity between XML documents. Conventional clustering of text documents using a do...
متن کاملDuplicate detection in XML data
Duplicate detection consists in detecting multiple representations of a same real-world object, and that for every object represented in a data source. Duplicate detection is relevant in data cleaning and data integration applications and has been studied extensively for relational data describing a single type of object in a single table. Our research focuses on iterative duplicate detection i...
متن کاملXSEM - A Conceptual Model for XML
We propose a new conceptual model for XML data called XSEM as a combination of several approaches in the area of the conceptual modeling for XML. The model divides the conceptual modeling process of XML data to two levels. On the first level, a designer designs an overall non-hierarchical conceptual schema of a domain. On the second level, he or she derives different hierarchical representation...
